From TEDx. As I have always said...everything isn't about autism.
Play on Philly was designed to help the severely underprivileged in the Philadelphia area. The number reality is staggering for these children: dropout rates, crime, incarceration, government dependency.
We know that as special needs parents music is used as a terrific therapy tool for our children. In fact music is important for all children. However, sadly due to economic conditions school districts are cutting back on music programs. This
discussion teaches us why music education is an important part of every young person's education.
Until next time,

You're right Elise. Music is important to all kids. It's a lot like sports to underpriviledged kids too. These are things that any child may be great at. And all kids should be given the chance to express themselves in any positive way possible.
